Company Director Calls for Industrialization

The managing director and chief executive officer of Izzy Global Resources, Hon. Mgbuelu Israel Lebura has advocated for an industrialized nation where the teeming Nigerian youths could be gainfully employed.

Hon. Mgbuelu made the disclosure while receiving an award as a Distinguished company Director of Year, 2023 from the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria at his office in Port Harcourt.

He attributed the spate of restiveness among the youth to lack of proper engagement, adding that creating industries would be a step in minimizing the insecurity in the country.

Lebura commended the president and commander in chief of the Armed Forces, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, in the step he has taken to revamp some of the moribund industries in the country, while also giving appraisal mark to successive administration in Rivers State on creating condusive atmosphere for business activities to thrive.

While thanking the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria for finding him worthy for the honour, even when he never negotiated for it, he dedicated the award to God Almighty and his family, noting that it will spur him to do more by contributing his quota as an employer of labour.

Presenting the award on behalf of the national chairman of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria, the deputy chairman, Mr. Kennedy Wedeh, said that the group were at his office to compliment the earlier investigation carried out by the assessment team of the association.

Wedeh who noted that media award is not bought, commended the resilience of the company chief executive officer as an indigenous contracting firm making good wave in the competitive market and urge him to maintain the tempo.

In his goodwill massage, the president general, Ogoni Indigenous Contractors Association, Hon. Kennule Kukang, thanked the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria for finding one of their own fit for the honour, adding that the award was a well deserved honour following the contributions of the awardee in the area of employment generation and other philanthropic gestures.
