The Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Rivers State Command, James Sunday, has been confered with a UN International Eminent Peace Ambassador award by the Global Diplomats and United Nations Volunteers.
The award, bestowed on him by the Global Diplomats and UN Volunteers, was in recognition of his “selfless, patriotic and dedication to global peace and development.”
According to the forum, in a statement signed by Ambassador Juliet Nwokocha, the International body had closely monitored his activities and “deemed it fit to recognise this hidden talent and disposition as a national asset.”
According to the forum, “Comptroller James Sunday has carved a niche in the Nigeria Immigration Service with track record from being a pioneer NIS desk officer for Interpol, special assistant to the Minister of Interior on Security, head of Media and Publicity Nigeria Immigration Service, Headquarters, Abuja.
“He was also the Comptroller Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, Comptroller Operations, Zone A, Lagos, Comptroller, Bayelsa Command and presently Comptroller, Rivers Command,” they said.
