A man, identified as Bro Joe, and two other young men, whose identities are yet to be known, at Ogbogoro in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, allegedly abducted an eleven year old girl, chained and defiled her inside an uncompleted building in an undisclosed location for two days.
Report has it that Joe and the two young men abducted the minor at about 7pm on 15 February, 2024, when she went on an errand for her mother.
Our correspondent gathered that the mother and neighbours had reported to Ozuoba Police Division on the fateful day, but the Police told them the minor cannot be declared missing until it is twenty-four hours.
A source revealed that Joe was arrested by the combined effort of community youths and Police at about 1:00 am on Tuesday 20, February, 2024, after days of evading arrest.
In an interview with our correspondent, father of the 11 year old girl, Anele Aleruchi, narrated that the mother had sent her to buy her drugs when the suspect accosted the victim and abducted her to an unknown destination.
“On 15 February, 2024 the mother sent her to buy drug, carry the name of the drug and gave her.

Wiro said the alleged defilement and abduction should be thoroughly investigated and if the suspect is found culpable he should be arraigned in court.
He however warned persons pushing for ‘settlement’ of the case out of Police station to desist forth with.
