Michael Zilly Aggrey Celebrates 40 With Widows, Inmates

Pastor Michael Zilly Aggrey, son of the general overseer of the Royal House of Grace Int’l, has marked his 40th birthday with a reach out to widows and prison inmates in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The 3-day event, which kicked off on January 26, 2024 with a prison outreach to the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre, Borokiri, continued in the evening of the same day with High Praise & Worship at Royal House of Grace Intl Headquaters in Port Harcourt, and Thanksgiving & Book Launch on January 28.

Pastor Zilly Aggrey, in a chat with our reporter, said the outreach, held on the aegis of non-governmental organization, Zadok, which he is the executive director of, sought to reach out to the inmates and help them to understand that God loves them and there is life after prison.

He said the prison outreach followed the dictates of Matthew 25:36, adding “we tend to forget that prisoners are not all guilty in Nigeria. Some are in prison due to power play. Imagine a correctional facility with 2898 Inmates, 2072 of the inmates are awaiting trial, meaning a good percentage of those 2072 inmates may be innocent of the charges leveled against them.”

Pastor Michael Aggrey said widows “are God’s wives, and if you bless and support God’s wives, God will be happy with you that you care for them. Also the Royal widows have always been praying for me, even before I got married. They are a special part of my growth.”

During the special all white dinner with the Royal widows (Wives of God) on January 27, special goodwill messages came from Hon. Justice Lemea Ngbor, and Hon. Justice Prince Mini, while comments from well-wishers included stories of Pastor Aggrey’s humility and love and care for everyone, regardless of one’s background and social status.

His friends from childhood, secondary school, and beyond were present to celebrate with him, while Jephthah Comprehensive Secondary School was fully represented.

In a reaction to the outpour of love, Pastor Aggrey said, “My wife and son have been a great source of encouragement and motivation to me. I am proud and thankful to have them in my life.”

Highlight of the event was the prayer for wisdom, protection and success with speed by father of the celebrant, Dr. Zilly Aggrey, the general overseer of the Royal House of Grace Int’l.
