Offor Installed as Onwa Gbani-Oha of Ozoaha, Community Lauds ‘Philanthropic Gestures’

It was a moment of jubilation and merriment as the people of Omagwa town in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State rolled out the drums to celebrate the colourful installation of their illustrious son, Eze Engr. Grant Offor, who was coronated as the Eze Onwa Gbani-oha 1 of Ozoaha community alongside with others, such as Prof. Prince Chinedu Mmom, former Rivers State Commissioner of Education.

The colourful coronation event took place at historic Ozoaha community in Ikwerre Local Government Area.

Performing the installation ceremony, Ohna Ibeneme Wosu, the Nyewe-Ali Ozoaha community, while congratulating Eze Engr. Grant Offor and others for their coronation, described it as great to be so honoured, emphasizing that they were picked and honoured in recognition of their philanthropic gestures and contributions towards the development of Ikwerre and Rivers State as a whole.

He noted that their “selfless services to humanity,” through their empowerment programmes which has improved the lives of the youths and other less privileges and appealed to them not to relent in their philanthropic gestures that has taken a global recognition.

Speaking with newsmen at his country-home in Omagwa town in Ikwerre LGA the newly coronated Eze, Engr. Offor, the Onwa Gbani-Oha 1 of Ozoaha, while expressing gratitude to Oha Ibename Wosu, the Nyewe-Ali Ozoaha, and his people for founding him worthy for the installation as an eze, noted that it is noteworthy that his people recognized all the good things he has been doing for the community, especially his vision for the development and encouragement of the youths which has brought peace, unity and harmony in Ikwerre communities and also reduced crime rate in the area.

According to him, in life there is nothing to hold back, this is a way to give back to the society by encouraging the people to succeed and will not relent in his philanthropic gestures.

Eze Engr. Grant Offor, who disagreed with the idea that the youths are lazy, blamed government for failure to put in place an enabling environment for the youths to succeed in life. 

He further debunked the suggestion that his scholarship scheme was specifically for only law students, while stressing that it cut across other disciplines, including medicine, engineering, management science, social science and others.
