Chairman of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Eastern Zone, Hon. Tamuno Kpokpo, had cause to rejoice with friends, relations and guests who came in their numbers to identify with him as he celebrated his birthday.
Chairman of the event, Engr. Israel Fubara, commended the celebrant for his uncommon passion and love for the Ijaw race, noting that he is a symbol of a vibrant leadership and hope for youths in ljawland and beyond.
He prayed for sustenance of his able leadership and enjoined youths to learn from his humble disposition.
A special guest, Alabo Francis Ada Ebenezer, former CTC cairman of Ogu/Bolo LGA described the celebrant as a unique gentleman, filled with assemblage of humility. He said that Kpokpo is focused, caring and lover of the Ijaw struggle, advising that he should continue to do the good works towards the benefit of humanity.
Notable guests poured encomiums on the amiable youth leader, adding that he has given Ijaw youths a new direction of hope and brilliant opportunities.
Hon. Kpokpo, thanked guests for turning out en masse to celebrate with him. He said he was overwhelmed with the huge crowd that thronged the arena, pointing out that his openness and pragmatic policies speaks for him.
He assured that he will not abandon the Ijaw struggle and promised to promote the cultural heritage of Ijaw people through many ways.
