A Port Harcourt-based businessman and respected son of Eleme in Rivers State, Chief Mbie Osarollor, has described the late Rev. Dr Mrs Ingor Ogan as a fulfilled woman who had a great passion for the things of God.
Chief Osarollor, who was also a son-in-law to Rev. Dr Mrs Ogan, made this disclosure at the King’s Assembly Church, Port Harcourt, during a service of songs and candlelight in honour of the great woman of God.
Osarollor described Mrs Ogan as a woman who deliberately impacted humanity by teaching and preaching the word of God alongside other great men of God in the vineyard.
He reiterated that, during her lifetime, Dr Mrs Ogan used her school, Aladumo International School, Port Harcourt, as a platform for evangelism and mentorship. Not only that, she went further to establish Agape Ministry with some of her friends and associates to promote the gospel of God, visiting prison inmates from time to time.
Her activities were not limited to Port Harcourt Prisons but extended to Degema Prisons and beyond.
Dr Mrs Ogan was also a great educationist and later served the state successfully as Commissioner for Education, where she championed the establishment of many primary and secondary schools in the state and effectively promoted girl-child education.
She was a good mother, not only to her biological children but to every child who came across her during her lifetime. As the proprietress and founder of Aladumo International School, she awarded several scholarships to indigent students.
“Indeed, she was a great woman of God,” Chief Osarollor said.
He, however, urged young mothers and women of today to endeavour to emulate some of her good legacies to enable them to live meaningful and impactful lives devoted to humanity.
He noted that, fortunately, his beloved wife, Mrs Osarollor, who is one of the daughters of the late Rev. Dr Mrs Ingor Ogan, is religiously following the footsteps and pathways of her late mother by impacting humanity positively and promoting girl-child education in the state.
“Indeed, there is special fulfilment in the life of a mother who is blessed to live long enough to witness her children grow, succeed and make meaningful contributions to society,” he said.
