Tinubu Retains Ogbuku as NDDC MD, Appoints new board members

President Bola Tinubu has renewed the tenure of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

President Tinubu, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale on Tuesday in Abuja also approved the appointment of a new Board members for the Commission.

The statement also announced the appointment of Mr. Chiedu Ebie of Delta State as Chairman of the Commission and former Rivers State Commissioner of Sports, Boma Iyaye as the Executive Director, Finance and Administration (EDFA).

According to the release, other members of the board are; Mr Victor Antai (Akwa Ibom) as Executive Director, Projects, Mr Ifedayo Abegunde (Ondo), as Executive Director, Corporate Services, Senator Dimaro Denyanbofa, Bayelsa State representative and Hon. Monday Igbuya, Delta State representative.

Others include; Chief Tony Okocha, Rivers State Representative, Hon Patrick Aisowieren, Edo State representative, Mr Kyrian Uchegbu, Imo State representative, Mr. Abasi Nkono, Akwa Ibom State representative, Victor Kolade Akinjo, Ondo State Representative, Chief Dimgba Eruba, Abia State Representative and Mr. Asu Oku Okang Cross River State Representative.

The three zonal members and representatives at the board are Hon. Nick Wende, North Central; Hon. Namdas Abdulrazak, North East and Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Gobir representing North West.

The statement noted that the appointments of the new board and management is with immediate effect.

“The President expects that the new board and management team will ensure a new era of successful administration in the NDDC, in line with his Renewed Hope agenda.”
