Delta Assembly: Evwreni’s Odion’rode Blesses Adjogbe’s 2023 Ambition

The Odion’Rode of Evwreni kingdom, His Highness, Moses Inore, has poured royal blessings on Mr. Fidelis Adjogbe, an All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, as the latter paid him a visit in his palace recently.

Mr. Adjogbe, who is an acclaimed businessman, is in the 2023 race for the Ughelli North Constituency 1 seat, in the Delta State House of Assembly.

The courtesy visit, which was aimed at seeking the prayers and blessings of the royal father on the aspirant, brought together members of the traditional council, women leaders, youth leaders and other important personalities in the community. 

Presenting an address to the traditional ruler and his council of elders and chiefs, Adjogbe promised Unenurhie people that, there would be justice and even distribution of government programmes and projects in Evwreni Ward when he becomes a member of the state House of Assembly come 2023.

He said, “Odion’Rode, you are a recognized traditional ruler in Evwreni kingdom. You are a father to the Evwreni people. I want to officially announce to you and your council of elders and chiefs and to all Unenurhie people that, I’m contesting for the Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency 1 under the APC.  As our recognized royal father, I came here to seek for your prayers and blessings on this political race to enable me come out victorious at the end of the polls.”

The APC House of Assembly aspirant further said, “I know your plight as a community. I know those things you have passed through since 1999 under this PDP government in the state. This is why you must give me the needed support to correct all these political anomalies in the land. I’m contesting for this legislative seat in our constituency to bring justice and fairness to our political systems in Evwreni Ward and also to the entire constituency. I need your prayers and also your votes to win and succeed in this political race.

“Your time to benefit and reap the fruits of your political labour is now. Don’t be deceived or misled this time around by selfish politicians whose ambition is steal public funds meant for development. Open your eyes this time around. This is your time for independence and freedom from political slavery over the past twenty years,” he said.

In his response, the monarch who was appreciative of the visit by the APC political leader, happily offered prayers on him saying, “As the royal father of this land and custodian of all our forebears and ancestors, I pray that, as you recognized me and this traditional stool in Evwreni kingdom, God Almighty and all our forebears will stand for you throughout this political race. Any Evwreni or Unenurhie person or any person outside the kingdom that wants to fight you or do any evil against your progress and victory in this race, our God and ancestors shall fight against that person; may God give you long life, good health and abundant blessings to actualize your political dreams. May God protect you and your political train in all your journeys, visitations and meetings. My son, you are already sitting on the legislative seat. Go and come back with victory.”

The visit ended at the residence of the president-general of Unenurhie community, Mr. Peter Maison, where he also prayed for Adjogbe’s success and victory of the APC aspirant for the state House of Assembly, Ughelli North Constituency 1.
