Mama Gbagbeke to be installed ‘Oldest Woman in Oginibo’

The ancient town of Oginibo community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State is agog and wearing new looks as all roads leads to and dignitaries get prepared to attend the epochal and historic installation of Mrs Omoteokolo Gbagbeke as the ‘Okpako Ewheya’ (eldest of bevy of ladies) of Oginibo town on January 23, 2021 at Gbagbake compound, Ekrugbo – Baro quarters.

According to a statement by one of mama’s sons, Joseph Gbagbeke, the entire Oginibo community and family of Gbagbeke Enavwohrovwovwan have requested the presence of Ekakpamre Grammar school Old Students Association and other distinguished personalities to the installation of their mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

He said that there a church service at Victory Baptist Church at Oginibo on Sunday.

According to her autobiography, mama, Mrs Omoteokolo Gbagbeke (nee Dolu Okperhan), is a successful woman. This claim is accepted generally by every one that knows her or she has associated with. She is also a successful trader, farmer, an exemplary mother, a virtuous woman, a social reformer, philosopher and above all a practical Christian whose generosity and love extends to everyone she has dealings or contacts with.
