Today marks the 52nd birthday anniversary of Hon. (Dr.), Amb. Angela Anthony Oju-Kienmie, the former Vice-chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Dr Oju-Kienmie who served as Vice Chairman of ONOLGA between June 2021 to June 2024 was also the Supervisor for Health in her council.
Before delving into public office, Dr Oju-Kienmie has been a strong voice in the Girl-Child and Youths Advocacy in Rivers and Nigeria through her book “The Total Girl” unveiled in 2008 and other campaigns both in the electronics and print media.
She initiated the Celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child for the first time in the history of Opobo/ Nkoro Local Government Area in October 2021.
She has also been a French tutor and has authored several publications and also hosted french programmes on radio and television across the country.
Dr Oju-Kienmie is a Fellow, Institute of Environmental and Public Health Management of Nigeria.
