As part of the Easter celebrations, the Bayelsa State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Alonyenu Francis Idu, has taken proactive measures to ensure “social harmony and security stability of all residents.”
According to a statement from the command, the commissioner of Police “has deployed police personnel and other operational assets to potential areas of security concern throughout the state.
“This deployment aims to preemptively address any potential threats and maintain peace and stability in the state.”
The statement further urged citizens “to remain vigilant and celebrate responsibly, while always complying with the law. Parents and guardians are encouraged to provide guidance to their children to prevent any actions that may disrupt the peace of the state.
“Furthermore, the command emphasizes the importance of reporting any suspicious activities promptly. Citizens are encouraged to contact the nearest police station or call the emergency numbers 0703 457 8208 / 0916 732 2691 for immediate assistance.
“The Bayelsa State Police Command extends warm wishes to the Christian community for a joyous Easter celebration. May this festive season be filled with peace, happiness, and harmony for all,” it said.
