Oyibokure Commends Delta Education Commissioner on ‘Lofty Initiatives’

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart from Uwheru Ward in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Goodluck Irorohwo Oyibokure, has commended the state commissioner for higher education, Professor Patrick Muoboghare, for the lofty ideas he has been contributing to the development of education in the state.

Addressing newsmen recently at his Ughelli residence, during a dinner party held for family and friends, Mr. Oyibokure who was highly elated said, “In politics, there must be role models who help to mentor and groom the younger ones that want to venture into the game of politics. That helps to maintain continuity in politics. Without such people to look unto, it will be very difficult for people like us to join the political class.

“On this premise, I want to commend my political father and mentor, Professor Patrick Muoboghare, the honourable commissioner for higher education in Delta State. He’s a man that has been contributing to the development of education in this state even since the time of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, the immediate past governor of the state, as honourable commissioner in that sector.

“I must also commend our working governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for finding our father worthy of this noble assignment. I strongly believe, in his time as the commissioner for higher education, he will definitely help to revitalize the educational sector to reflect international operations. The results of his hard work are already on ground in the ministry. A white eagle doesn’t hide, even in the dark. Our higher institutions in the state today are being repositioned to deliver the best to our children in terms of academic excellence and character development. I commend him for his laudable achievements so far in the ministry,” he said.

In the same way, Mr. Oyibokure appealed to the commissioner to always remember, as usual, to stretch his helping hands down to those of them at the grassroots. “The commissioner is our revered political leader in Uwheru ward. Let me use this opportunity too to appeal to him to remember those at the grassroots. He should use his good offices to elevate them to enviable positions in the government and in the party.

“It’s when he places them into different strategic positions in the government that they can join hands to achieve more than ever before. Politics is a game of numbers and power. He’s our father and leader in the entire Uwheru kingdom. Since he’s already on top of the orange tree, our minds are settled and we equally have the hope that we can never lick unripe orange fruits again. We are seriously begging him to consider those at the grassroots for employment and empowerment. Like in his first tenure as honourable commissioner, he should also help to drag more government presence to Uwheru kingdom this time. May God promote him the more,” he said.
