The councillor representing Ward 10 in Abua/Odual Legislative Council in Rivers State, Hon. Olavokere Jamala, has lauded the local government Chairman, Engr. Michael Owolobi-Ofori, over the commencement of renovation of the Adibom Central State School Emelego.
Jamala, who is also the Deputy Leader of the Abua/Odual Legislative Council, in a statement personally signed by him yesterday, stated that the dilapidated situation of the school had hampered learning for pupils in the area.
He expressed gratitude, stating that when completed, the newly-renovated facility will provide a good learning environment for both teachers and pupils.
He said: “The renovation works at Adibom Central State School, Emelego-Odual have officially commenced, following the approval of the Executive Chairman of Abua/Odual Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Micheal Owolobi Ofori.
“This development has brought great excitement and appreciation to the people of Emelego Community and Ward 10 in general.
“For years, our children and teachers have yearned for improved learning facilities, and today that dream is becoming a reality under the purposeful leadership of the Chairman,” he said.
The councillor thanked the Chairman for his visionary leadership, which he said is bringing grassroots development to the people of Abua/Odual.
“We also pledge our unalloyed support to the Chairman as he continues to deliver dividends of democracy across the LGA. We are confident that this project will greatly enhance the learning environment and secure a brighter future for our children. May God continue to grant the Chairman wisdom, strength, and more grace to serve our people,” he stated.
