The managing director and chief executive officer of EliQueens Hotel & Suits and 8 Ball Play Lounge, Port Harcourt, Amb. Dr. Ifeanyi Egboigbe, has been honoured as a ‘Distinguished company Director of the year 2023,’ by the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN).
While presenting the award plaque to him at his corporate office in Port Harcourt, the national coordinator of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria, NDMPN, Dr Gilbert Amadi, explained that they were in his office to compliment the report of their assessment team, and congratulated him on his benevolence towards the downtrodden in the society.
Dr Amadi requested more collaborative effort, just as he noted that media group concerns itself medical outreach and other selfless services to the society.
Earlier in his address, the Rivers State coordinator of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria, Amb. Joseph Asomeji, explained that the association is a group of journalists who came together with the aim of promoting, projecting and protecting the image of the region, with emphasis on the education of the younger generation, selfless services to vulnerable persons in the society.
Asomeji added that as a media group, they investigate, criticize, publicise and appreciate good intentions, public-spirited individuals and philanthropists, positing that their visit was to appreciate the contributions of the awardee in terms of youth empowerment/ employment as well as his philanthropic gesture towards the downtrodden.
He added that they have concluded plans to donate hospital consumables at the Accident and Emergency Department of University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospitals (UPTH), as well as carry out road show on the need for Nigerians to assist accident victims and vulnerable patients at the hospital.
Responding on the honour done him, the managing director/CEO of EliQueens Hotel and Suits and 8 Ball Play Lounge Port Harcourt, Amb Dr. Ernest Ifeanyi Egboigbe, thanked the group for the award.
He promised to collaborate with the association to reach out to the vulnerable persons in the society, just as he revealed that his foundation ‘EliQueens Care Foundation’ has done more in terms of medical outreach and other empowerment programs.
High point of the event was the decoration of the awardee as their patron and handing over the award plaque as a Distinguished Company Director of the year 2023 (Tourism, Hospitality/Entertainment).
