The director general and chief executive officer of  the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), Olorogun Dr. Rufus Ebegba, has commiserated with the minister of state, Labor and Productivity, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, over the death of his father, Pa Mathias Keyamo.

He died on Saturday March 5, 2022 at the age of 83.

In a statement released recently, Dr Ebegba, an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Delta State said, “I commiserate with the honorable minister of Labor and Productivity, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, on the sad demise of his father.

“It is never easy losing a father, more so at a time when his fatherly advice would be very much useful. Nevertheless, we thank God Almighty for the life of our late father, Pa Mathias Keyamo and his impact on our society, as embodied in his illustrious children including the minister of labour and productivity, Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN.

“I pray God Almighty to comfort those left behind to mourn him, as I urge all to keep his memory by standing for the positive deeds he was known for,” he said.

The statement further reads: “Late Papa Keyamo without even knowing him, lived a life worthy of emulation by our younger generations.

“This remarkable attestation is made from the kind of lives his children are living together. His children are well placed within and outside the country. Such a father, who was able to groom and train his children to such successful and enviable stage in life, was a highly disciplined person in the society. He was a man I doff my cap for.

“If many parents can be like our late father, I strongly believe that crime rate would have been reduced to the barest minimum in all our communities and cities.

“This is why Deltans must consider a man with a large and loving heart for our teeming youths, like myself, to be the next governor of Delta State come 2023. I want our youths to be successful in their careers and professions. I want to practically remove many of them from the streets by the time I become the governor of the state by creating different forms of employment for the youths. In fact, I want to emulate the fine legacies of our late dear father, Pa. Matthias Keyamo. His legacies will continue to live on in our lives.”
