Bayelsa Guber: No Aspirant is Threat to My Ambition ~ Keniebi Okoko

As the Peoples Democratic Party primaries get underway ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa State, one of the top contenders in the race, Pst Keniebi Okoko, has stated that he is not threatened by the participation of any of the 21 aspirants jostling to become governor of the state.

He made the reaction to questions from journalists in Yenagoa.

Okoko said he is in the race to mainly give back to society his wealth of experience acquired over the years as a technocrat and a successful business mogul, adding that he is experienced, well-equipped and prepared to take Bayelsa State out of the woods and put her on the fast path to socio-economic recovery.

The governorship hopeful called on all Bayelsans to stand up and take their destinies in their hands as the forthcoming guber elections is a litmus test for the state, emphasising that industrialization remains the catalyst that can open up the state, which will eventually lead to wealth creation and job opportunities  for the teeming unemployed  youths across the state.

Pst. Okoko also restated the road map to his 6-point policies and programs for the state if elected, which include security, urbanization, education, health, economic growth, power and a rejuvenated environment devoid of degradation, occasioned by oil exploration activities in the society.
