Athy Nestor Oki has emerged the chairman of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Bayelsa State chapter, in a “well-attended, peaceful and credible election” coordinated by a member of the association’s Board of Trustees, Emmanuel Oguogueh.
Miss Athy Nestor Oki pulled 80 votes to clinch the chairmanship post.
Other officers elected were; Ogbara Festus (secretary), Reginald Kokupamo (PRO), Fred Amadoko (financial secretary), Wapaemi Theophilus (treasurer), Amabebe Ajoko, Director Gift services and Philip Okonkwo as chief whip.
Declaring the result, a member of the association’s Board of Trustees, Emmanuel Oguogueh charged the new executive to live above board and ensure they promote the ideals of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
While, an elated chairman, Miss Athy Nestor expressed her gratitude to God and members for voting her, just as she assured them that she will not disappoint the confidence they reposed on her.
