Speaking at the graduation ceremony for the first batch, held over the weekend in Port Harcourt, Wealveth Hub’s director, Loveth Ogedegbe, noted that the institute is a training ground for all who desire to acquire any form of digital skills.

She said the centre is already impacting the society and is determined to do more by making many persons skilled and trained employers of labour.

“Wealveth Hub is a digital smart world in Port Harcourt. It’s a training centre for cyber security, e-archiving, video editing, photography and other digital trainings.

“Our programmes are mostly e-training because the world is going digital and whether we like it or not, we have to move with the world,” she said.

She added that the programme “is already impacting the society, aside from being an employment of labour, they are also generating and transferring knowledge to the society, picking out youths and training them to be better persons tomorrow.”

Ogedegbe, who is also the founder of the Orange Magazine charged the graduands to use the knowledge they have acquired to improve themselves and better the society and called for more partnership from the public in training more youths “to be impactful to the society especially in digital skills.”

In his remark, the Corps commandant, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Rivers State Command, Salisu Usman Galadunci, commended the management of the institute for doing a great job.

He noted that the programme will benefit the youths and the society, as the courses are very rich, adding that anyone who has the opportunity to study at the institute must have widened his or her horizon.

“Even out of service and off-duty day, you can establish a small business where you can put all this skills into use.

“Rivers people should know that you don’t need to go to London to acquire this skills, this place is capable of giving you that skill,” he said.
