Ebegba Visits Perm Sec, Briefs on NBMA’s Prospects, Programmes

The director general/chief executive officer of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), Olorogun Dr Rufus Ebegba, has led top management and staff of the agency on a working visit to the permanent secretary, Federal Ministry of Environment, Engr. Hassan Musa.

The visit, which took place on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, provided the opportunity for a briefing on the status of the National Biosafety Management Agency.

During the visit, the DG/CEO made a presentation on developments bothering on the genesis, progress reports/achievements, challenges and future prospects and programmes of the NBMA.

He also presented a summary of the agency’s financial statements, which included budgets, allocation and internally generated revenue.

The presentation also featured a list of accreditations and permits granted so far by the agency; international partnerships, awards and recognition received by the agency since inception.
In his response, the permanent secretary, Engr Hassan Musa, expressed appreciation to the leadership of the NBMA for the achievements recorded by the agency so far, and urged the management and staff to continue to live up to and even surpass expectation, if possible.

The permanent secretary assured the agency of the ministry’s continued support towards its improving and assuring performances.
