Front-line politician in Rivers State and special adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Political Matters and Strategy, Barr Emeh Glory Emeh, has insisted that “it easier for the camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for the All Progressive Congress (APC) to win elections here in Rivers state.”
Barr Emeh insisted that Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has performed overwhelmingly impressive and has endeared himself to the citizens of the state such that the people are united in opinion that there is no alternative to the governor the in 2019 governorship elections.
Emeh who is also the deputy director Information and Communications-Electronics and print media at the PDP Campaign Council , told journalists at the campaign office that it is not possible for those he described as Abuja/Lagos politicians to remain “abroad ” and win elections here in Port Harcourt.
“Let me repeat it once again that those who are on exile in Abuja and Lagos and think they can rely on godfathers outside the state to win the votes of our people without doing anything to merit it are dreaming in fool’s paradise.
“It is not debatable that Governor Wike in the short but very impressive period of being in office have shown Rivers people that he is not only a committed and patriotic true son of the state but was adequately prepared for service to humanity, and it is in appreciation of Wike’s unprecedented performance that our people referred to the man they decorated with the Grand Service Star of Rivers State as The Pride Of Rivers State,” the lawyer-politician posited.
On the crises rocking the All Progressive Congress in the state, the former chief of staff, Government House said he was not surprised as it was predicted from its birth.
“The problem is that we tend to have short memory. Look, you recall we had always recited it as memory verse that the APC is not organized, and what you expect from a disorganised house is that they will sing in discordant tunes.
“It will be easier for the camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for APC to win elections here in Rivers state. It is not possible with a Wike/Banigo ticket. Not with the developmental strides particularly the new spirit of oneness Governor Wike has instilled in our people for unity of purpose,” he said.
