A pioneer member of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) in the Eastern Zone and National Patron of the Association, Chief Eze-Mentus Mbonu, has congratulated the Commandant-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on his recent tenure extension by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his re-election as the Chairperson of World Customs Organisation (WCO).
Mbonu who is also the Chairman of Ezems Nigeria Company Limited in his message of congratulation, lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose decision to extend the administrative tenure of Mr. Adeniyi as the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) in the next six months, was seen as a welcome development by maritime stakeholders, according to him.
The National Patron of ANLCA, further appreciated President Tinubu for recognizing the innovations and transformative leadership vision of CGC Adeniyi, adding that they aligned with global best practices, particularly in the activities of the Nigeria Customs Service.
Chief Mbonu In the same vein, commended the World Customs Organisation (WCO) for the re-election of CG Adeniyi to pioneer the affairs of the organisation in the next one year; pointing out that it was in recognition of his exemplary leadership prowess and commitment to global Customs administration.
Chief Mbonu, while expressing his heartfelt congratulations to CGC Adeniyi for his dual recognitions by the Nigerian President and the WCO, expressed optimism that the extension would enable him to implement the reforms, innovations and the technological driven service for trade facilitation, among others.
