AC Danladi Bags Award of Excellence

The saying that a gold fish has no hiding place played out recently when Babangida Danladi was bestowed with an award of Excellence by the Niger Delta Media Forum for distinguishing himself in the discharge of his responsibilities to the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the society.

President of the group, Prince Gbasam, said Danladi who is an Assistant Comptroller of Customs and the assistant Provost Marshall (APM), Customs Police Unit in Zone C was honored in recognition of his “outstanding leadership and commitment to the growth of the economy through effective revenue generation and fiscal policy compliance as well as repositioning the Customs Police Unit for efficiency and greater service delivery to the stakeholders and instilling discipline among the officers and men in the zone by ensuring that all rules and laws of service are strictly enforced.”

While acknowledging his “outstanding leadership prowess and sound educational background which he has exhibited over the years,” the association said his achievements “will no doubt go a long in portraying him as one of the most dedicated and honest officers determined to make a difference in Customs and the society in general.”

Responding, AC Danladi expressed appreciation to the Niger Delta Media Forum for the honor done him, assuring that he will continue to do his best in the interest of the nation and Nigeria Customs in particular.

He stressed that the growth and success of the country should be a collective efforts of everybody in whatever position you find yourself.

Danladi used the opportunity to thank the Comptroller General, CGC Bashir Adeniyi and the acting Provost Marshall TS Sanusi for creating an enabling environment for seamless operations in the service and unit respectively, describing their leadership as very inspiring as he also commended the officers and men of the unit for their support which led to the achievements recorded by the unit.

The award ceremony which was brief but colourful was witnessed by officers and men of the unit amid pump and pageantry.
