The Community Development Committee Chairman (CDC) of Rumuolugwu Community in Eneka clan in Obio/ Akpor local government Area of Rivers State,
Comrade Chika Christian Dede has been honoured with an award of excellence for his visionary leadership style.
During the award presentation which held in his community town hall, Chairman of the League of South South Media Professionals,
Comrade Bartholomew Ndubuwa
said the recipient was chosen among the lot because of his visionary leadership style and prudent management of community funds.
Comrade Ndubuwa lauded him for putting the development of the community first before himself.
The league of south south Media professionals chairman said that during the association’s search for a reputable CDC chairman to be recognized that investigation reviewed that he was an outstanding leader who has brought peace and development to his community and that he came prepared to lead the community.
Comrade Ndubuwa urged other leaders to borrow a leave from the selfless service of Mr. Dede.
Responding, Comrade Dede appreciated God for giving him wisdom to have achieved all that he has done as the community’s leader.
He equally thanked the media professionals for finding him worthy for such a prestigious award.
Dede promised to redouble his efforts in the development of his community, saying he will make sure everyone in the community is treated fairly and promised to partner with the association in every of their programmes .
Also speaking the Chief of Staff to the CDC Chairman, Comrade Temple Dede said the honour was well deserved.
He said he has learnt selflessness while working with the CDC chairman and that he is overwhelmed by the recognition and the award presentation.
He lauddd Comrade Dede for bringing lasting peace and development to the community while also praising the association for rewarding good leadership.
In the same vein, Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Community,
Christian Nwuche described the awardee as a friend and father to youths of the community, saying he is not surprised because he has worked hard for the honour.
