Eastern Marine: Onne ANLCA Boss, Isikaku, Others Receive New Police Commissioner

 

The newly deployed Commissioner of Police, Eastern Marine Command, PortHarcourt, Rivers State, Mr. Mike Okoh, has paid a courtesy visit to the executive of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Onne Seaport chapter.

Speaking during the visit, CP Mike Okoh said the essence of his visit was to familiarise with the Exco of ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter, under the leadership of Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), having visited other freight forwarders’ associations, earlier.

He disclosed that the necessity of his visit was on the knowledge that ANLCA is like the mother of other freight forwarders’ associations operating at Onne Seaport.

CP Okoh further stated that ANLCA, under the leadership of Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku is important to the Police, as the Police is equally important to the association; hence the need for continued collaboration and support for each other.

He in the meantime, lauded the leadership of ANLCA for the cordial relationship that existed between the association and his predecessor, hence the need to extend such hand of fellowship to him.

Responding, Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku (Onwa), expressed his heartfelt gratitude to CP Mike Okoh, for the honour done to his Exco and ANLCA, Onne Seaport chapter in general.

He equally appreciated the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Eastern Marine Command, for ensuring a peaceful and conducive atmosphere for their business with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), to thrive at Onne Seaport.

The ANLCA chapter chairman, used the medium to affirm of their readiness to continue to collaborate with the Police, under the command of CP Okoh, and assured him of returning the visit to his Command, as a mark of his respect and honour to him.

In their respective responses, having been introduced by Chief Ifeanyi Isikaku to the CP, earlier; the Chairmen of other freight forwarders’ associations at Onne Seaport, which include: Chief Emeka Nwosu, Chairman, National Association of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents; Hon. Forwarder Ike Anselm Okechukwu, Chairman, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF ) and Prince Comrade Obinna Ugochukwu, Chairman, Association of Registered Freight Forwarders of Nigeria (AREFFN), commended CP Okoh for making out time for the visit, despite his tight schedules.

They assured the CP of their unalloyed collaboration with his Command, as well as to the DPO of Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) Police Station at Onne Seaport.

CP Okoh was accompanied to the courtesy visit by his team of officers, the DPO of NPA Police Station, Onne Seaport; while members of both ANLCA and other freight forwarders’ associations were on ground to receive the CP, during the visit.
