Diri Receives OGFZA’s Usman over Agge Port, Brass Free Zone

The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has taken significant steps to activate the Brass Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority with a meeting with Alhaji Bamanga Jada Usman, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority.

Governor Diri, at the meeting held at the State Government House in Yenagoa, expressed his strong commitment to ensuring that the Brass Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority becomes operational.

On his part, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority Nigeria, Alhaji Bamanga Jada Usman commended the Governor Douye Diri administration for its dedication to the industrialization of Bayelsa State.

He also commended the administration’s focus on the ongoing road construction to Brass, which he said will greatly support the project’s progress.

Alhaji Bamanga Jada Usman also assured Governor Diri of continued support and cooperation from the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

He highlighted the great potential of the Agge Seaport as a Special Economic Zone, emphasizing its role in boosting the economic landscape.

On his entourage, Hon. Kelvin F. Otele, also expressed his appreciation for Governor Diri’s efforts to activate the Brass Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority.

According to him. “Recall that the project, which was approved in May 2015 alongside the Lekki Free Zone and Akwa Ibom Free Zone, as you all know lekki free zone and akwa ibom free zone are getting much development.”

“So, It is much encouraging and so glad to see Governor Diri ready to drive the Brass Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority toward full operation, which will create numerous employment opportunities and bring investment into the region.”

“The Brass Fertilizer Plant is a project inside Brass Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, other are also set to come into operation, Special thanks to the governor’s proactive approach.”

Hon. Otele also acknowledged former President Goodluck Jonathan for approving this project, benefiting both Bayelsa State and Nigeria at large.

“With the commitment shown by Governor Diri, the support of the federal government, and the potential for substantial economic growth, this project promises to be a transformative step for Bayelsa State.”

” I urge everyone to support Governor Diri’s vision and efforts for the success and industrialization of Bayelsa State.”
