DSIEC 2024: Ughelli North PDP Kick Starts Campaign at Orogun, Agbarha Wards

Ahead of the Delta State Local Government Elections scheduled to hold Saturday July 13, 2024, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli North Local Government Area have commence ward to ward campaign.

The compaign train led by the director general, Hon Kelly Emuoghenerue Oghenekevwe, among other leaders visited the wards in Orogun and Agbarha Kingdoms as they solicited for the support and votes of electorates, assuring them of enhancing the MORE agenda of the Delta state governor in the grassroots.

In his speech, the chairmanship candidate of the party, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, assured the people and residents of the council area of his development and a secured environment if elected the chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area in the forth-coming local government elections.

Also, Egbo promised to work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure primary education been a responsibility of the local government is given priority by ensuring conducive environment are provided that will enhance effective and efficient learning process.

Speaking further, he emphasized that cleanliness is next to godliness, therefore a serene environment would be prioritized in his administration as he admonished residents and indigenes of the council area to engage in subsistence farming because that will ease the effect of food scarcity in our nation.

Thereafter, he urged the electorates to come out enmass to excercise their franchise on the election day as he assured all of enough security.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of party flags to various councilorship candidates as the party leadership charged them to take the campaign to their various units.
