Youth Leader Condemns Killings, Urges ‘Peace in Nigeria’

A call has been made to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to, “as a matter of urgency, irrespective of political affiliations,” put a stop to the killings going on in the Northern part of Nigeria.

Speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Saturday, one of the Youth leaders advocating for peace in the country, Chap. Brigd. Amb. (Dr.) Isaac Christian, noted that the call had become imperative, seeing that what the country needs now to achieve economic growth and development in every other sector “is nothing less than absolute peace and adequate security.”

Amb. (Dr.) Christian therefore maintained that it is high time President Tinubu come out with proactive measures to ensure that killings in Nigeria and destruction of properties of individuals are stopped with immediate effect so that peace can reign supreme in Nigeria.

“I pray that the Federal Government will see reason to support Nigeria Forest Security Services (NFSS), who had been at the forefront fighting insecurity in the country, so that they can join hands with other security agencies in Nigeria to ensure that insecurity is nipped in the bud for peace to prevail, so as to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged ones who cannot speak for themselves.

“Believe me, in the course of Mr. President putting a stop to this unholy killings, it will not only help in fostering justice and peace for all, but will go a long way in enhancing his political profile both in the area of security and social justice”.

Continuing, the Amb. (Dr.) Isaac Christian, the recipient of many great Awards on security from many notable organizations however used the opportunity to advise youths in the country to forget the past and be focused ahead of the 2027 with a view to ensure that peace reign.

“There is no denying the fact that if youths decides to take up weapons, it is obvious that it is the innocent citizens in the country that would be greatly affected.

“And it is against this backdrop that I’m seriously advocating for peace and unity and hence urging the youths to do well to shun violence and never allow anyone to mislead them to foment troubles capable to ruin their future.

“Let the youths remember that they are the future leaders of this country and any wrong decision taken now will affect their future in near time, hence it is pertinent for every youths to be law abiding and above all embrace peace and justice for the country to grow from strength to strength“, the outspoken Amb. (Dr.) Isaac Christian frankly enthused.
