YENE Hits 3, Sets to Empower More Youths

A youth advocacy group, Youth Educational Needs and Empowerment Initiative (YENE), has rolled out the drums to celebrate its third anniversary at an event held in Port Harcourt, with the theme ‘Say No To Crime.’

Speaking with journalists at the ceremony, chief executive officer of the group Hon. Fidelis Vitus Adizua, enjoined youths to live a purposeful life, capable of giving them a new lease of life, adding that if youths are meaningfully engaged and empowered, crime rate would drastically reduce.

Adizua said YENE, under his leadership, has proposed to empower one million youths in 2022, with a target of one hundred thousand that will be trained at the youth group’s online school.

The training, according to him, will be in tranches to enable the programme run effectively.

“We have set up a strong structure across the country, with formidable and robust scheme, geared towards enhancing the growth of youths in the country,” he said.

Adizua further said admission into the training school is ongoing, pointing out that youths will be empowered after the training which spans over a period of one month.

The event attracted dignitaries from all walks of life. Some of them extolled the virtues of the CEO, whom they described as a sound technocrat and a compassionate leader of repute.

On the sidelines of the event, a youth who spoke on the condition of anonymity poured encomiums on Adizua for his unparalleled leadership style and called on Nigerians to emulate him.
