World Diplomats’ Group Engages Ajiola for Greater Efficiency

 

As part of moves to achieve greater impact, the United World Congress of Diplomats has appointed Amb. Dr Larry-Goodwill Akintoba Ajiola, a multi-talented diplomat, as head, policy and diplomatic affairs, to help drive its vision.

In a press release signed by its secretary-general, Prof. Tunji John Asaolu, and made available to this medium, the association said the appointment highlighted its commitment to promoting global peace and harmony through diplomacy and fruitful engagements.

The world group noted that Dr Larry-Goodwill Ajiola would bring his expertise and experience in international relations and peace advocacy – being an international mayor of peace – to bear on his new assignment.

“This prestigious appointment underscores the UN-WCD’s commitment to promoting global peace, diplomacy, and cooperation. As a distinguished diplomat and international relations expert, Amb. Dr Larry-Goodwill Akintoba Ajiola brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this critical role.

“His expertise will be instrumental in shaping the UN-WCD’s policy and diplomatic initiatives, promoting sustainable development, and advancing the global peace agenda. His appointment is a testament to our organization’s dedication to fostering global peace, understanding, and cooperation,” the statement noted.

It further explained that Ajiola’s role as head, policy and diplomatic affairs at UN-WCD include
developing and implementing the group’s policy and diplomatic strategies, building partnerships with governments, international organizations, and civil society organizations, promoting global peace, understanding and cooperation through diplomacy and international relations.

Moreover, three other international organizations related in synergy with the United World Congress of Diplomats, have taken strategic steps to facilitate socio-economic, political and academic development in the African continent in particular and the world at large.

To achieve these goals, the organizations – African School of Diplomacy and International Relations (ASDIR), International Institute of Experts on Political Economy and Administration (IIEPEA) and African Academic Achievers’ Awards (A4) – also engaged Dr Larry-Goodwill Akintoba Ajiola, a UN Volunteer and MD/CEO of I.Conntact-Connect Limited, as head of training and capacity development, distinguished fellow and certified global expert in political economy and head, communication, marketing and branding, respectively.

Throwing further light on the responsibilities attached to the appointments, the statement explained:

“As head of training and capacity development at the African School of Diplomacy and International Relations (ASDIR), Amb. Dr Larry-Goodwill Akintoba Ajiola will be expected to assemble participants for the executive master training on leadership, diplomacy and team development through ASDIR. He will also facilitate affiliations of ASDIR with other universities.

“As a distinguished fellow of IIEPEA, he is to work with other fellows to promote the Institute and ensure the achievement of its set goals, especially pertaining to championing a think-tank on political economic dynamics for effective, productive, transparent, accountable and development-oriented governance and global economic growth and sustainability. Dr. Ajiola’s job as head of communication, marketing and branding at the African Academic Achievers’ Awards (A4) includes mobilizing institutions for A4 awards as well as initiating institutional ratings to promote academic excellence.

“Finally, he will be expected to initiate and organize periodic programmes and activities using the platforms of the four international organizations.”

The statement described the appointments, made on 8th September, 2025 in Abuja, as a testament of Dr Ajiola’s consistency in building partnerships and adding value to the society, noting that for more than three decades, he had engaged in
SMEs’ development, youth empowerment, corporate branding and peace advocacy, leveraging the platforms of the various international organizations his company partners with.

The statement concluded: “Just last month, August, he (Ajiola) partnered with the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) to mark the 2025 World Humanitarian Day at Enugu. At the programme, which was attended by the IAWPA World Peace President, Amb. Per Stafsen, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah, was honoured with an award for his achievements in SDGs’ implementation in line with the vision of the United Nations. Indeed, Dr Ajiola, by these epochal achievements, is making Rivers State (his current base), Nigeria, Africa and the entire globe proud.”
