Wike’s Victory at Tribunal Excites ANDMON Secretary

Rivers State governor, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Wike’s victory at the election petition tribunal at the weekend, has been described as victory for the people of the state.

The general secretary, Association of Niger Delta Monarchs of Nigeria (ANDMON), HM King Leslie N Eke, made this known when he spoke with newsmen over the weekend at his Palace in Woji in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

King Eke said that the victory had vindicated the governor and the entire Rivers people.

The ANDMON scribe, who also is the Nyerisi Eli Woji and Eze Oha Evo III of Evo Kingdom, pointed out that the tribunal has shown that the court is the last hope of the common man.

The Eze Gbakagbaka opined that the tribunal’s judgement further points to the fact that the governor is God-sent, adding that the tribunal would not have done otherwise considering the level of support given to the governor by the people.

In a message to the governor, the monarch congratulated him on the victory, adding that “God has ultimately vindicated you and the victory He gave you. The tribunal actually did the needful, because the people gave you both their votes and support.”

Eze Woji further said that Wike’s name would ever remain in the sands of history of state and the country due to his gait contribution to democracy and good governance, adding that he and his people would always support the governor and his administration.

The monarch further welcomed the state government’s purchase of 45 percent of Oil Mining Lease 11 (OML 11), noting that this would not only increase the revenue base of the state, but would also tackle the issue of unemployment.

According to him, “it would only take those with bold spirit to plan and strategically position the state for economic viability.”

It would be recalled that the purchase of the OML 11 and the tribunal victory, came shortly after the celebration of Governor Wike’s 100 days in office.
