Wike Is God-Sent To Govern Rivers – Fubara

The immediate past caretaker committee chairman of Degema Local Government Area (DELGA) in Rivers State, Pastor Agiobu Victor Fubara, has described the emergence of Chief (Barr) Nyesom Wike as governor of the state as divine.

Pastor Fubara told newsmen during a chat in Port Harcourt recently that “I have been in politics for some time, and I can tell you the truth that God gave him (Wike) to us.”
He said his assertion is not due to the fact that had been a CTC chairman, but because he had “looked at all the contestants and saw that Wike was the only person to salvage the state. I supported him without even going to him, because I had seen the zeal. I supported him divinely.
“In Isaiah 9:6, God showed who He is. But in verse 7, He said all what He has, said the zeal of the Lord will perform. So the zeal of the Lord in him (Wike) has been identified long ago. If not for him, we could have seen a state in difficulty,” he said.
Pastor Fubara, stressed his support for the governor, adding that “if his (Wike’s) decision is against me, I’ll be with him. One must not be favoured all the time, because there are more than four million persons in Rivers State.”
The former caretaker boss, who said his administration had touched lives in the LGA, told newsmen that he had already offered his congratulations to his successor, Chief (Hon) Ombo Benibo, informing him that he (Benibo) can call on his assistance whenever he needs it.
