We’re Committed To Service, Okparaji Tells Eleme People

The chairman of Eleme Local Government Area, Hon. (Barr) Philip Okparaji has said that he and his team “are not in office to make money but to serve the people of Eleme.”

Okparaji stated this when members of a socio-cultural organisation from his community, O-E’la Obor Wiwi Aleto paid him a visit to congratulate him on his victory and emergence as the chairman of the LGA.

The chairman informed them of some of his successes in security and efforts made in the area of sanitation. He said the security structure in the LGA presently is highly functional adding that anyone who perpetrates crime will be apprehended.

He also disclosed some steps his administration will be taking in the coming days to ensure growth, development and orderliness in the LGA.

According to him, the flooding in Aleto and other areas in Eleme will soon be a thing of the past as modalities will be put in place to put an end to it. He also stated that the Nchia Etchieta market will be fenced round to avoid encroachment to the roads which normally causes congestion and traffic jam.

Okparaji urged the organisation to continue supporting the Nyesom Wike government for continuous execution of projects and further appealed for their support in order to ensure he delivers on his promises to the people.
