The general manager of Ogeyi Place Hotel, formerly known as Le Meridian Ogeyi Place, Dr. Mrs Ebikaboere Seimodei, has said that their organization stands tall in the hospitality industry in Nigeria, especially in its pursuit of global excellence.
She made this known after receiving an award, on behalf of her organization, as the most Distinguished Corporate Organization of the year, 2024/2025, presented by the Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN).
In her response at the hotel’s corporate office in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital, Dr. Seimodei maintenaned that her organization strives for professionalism in the hospitality Industry, manned by formidable and dedicated team players with track record in quality service delivery to the clients and customers.
While thanking the NDMPN for finding their organization worthy of recognition, she said it will spur them to put in more effort.
She further urged the media in the Niger Delta to promote the region before the international community, adding that the region is strategically placed for commercial activities, contrary to the usual insinuation of being a violence-prone area.
Earlier in his statement, the Convener of Niger Delta Media Practitioners of Nigeria (NDMPN), Amb. Joseph Asomeji, noted that they were at the corporate office in fulfilment of the report of their assessment team who carried out secret investigation of the contribution of the hotel in the hospitality and tourism industry.
Amb. Asomeji who also explained that the association is known for its cardinal objectives in the donations of hospital consumables, learning aids and Youth sensitization/ reorientation, hence appealing for the sponsorship of the association 2024/2025 corporate social responsibility project (CSRP) of donation of learning aids to selected secondary schools in Port Harcourt.
In separate speeches, the Financial Controler, Mr. Adewale Fawole, the Human Resources Manager, Miss Stacy-Young Ilenikhena and the Sales Manager, Mrs. Chiniyerem Afeisume, posited that choice of their organization for the award was a step in right direction putting into consideration their quality service delivery to customers and expressed thank to NDMPN for choosing them out of numerous Hotels in the region.
