The chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Chief (Dr) Erastus Charles Awortu says he is committed to the overall development of LGA, as well as making it a global tourism hub.
He made the assertion recently when executive members of the Obolo Media Forum (OMF) paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the council headquarters, Ngo.
He assured the people of Andoni that he will continue to deliver quality services, irrespective of challenges, adding that the peace process he initiated will be vigorously sustained.
The ANOLGA boss maintained that his quick intervention to stem the ugly tide of insecurity in Andoni was the handiwork of God.
He equally thanked stakeholders and the people of Andoni for standing by him during the ugly era, noting that his projects dotted in all the nooks and crannies of the LGA speaks volumes.
Earlier, the chairman of the forum, Frank Eneawaji Ogwuonuonu hailed the giant feat recorded by the council chairman in putting Andoni on the world map.
He described his performances as unprecedented in the annals of Andoni, reeling out several developmental projects that catches the eyes of everybody.
“The provision of quality water in Isiokwan district and several communities with treatment plant, road infrastructure at Agana/Egwede,Asarama, Unyeada etc, magnificent town hall at Ataba, enhanced welfare system which is unheard of in Andoni, provision of fishing gears to assist fishermen and women, solar powered lights, sports promotion and tourism which showcases the splendor and cultural heritage of the people amongst many others too numerous to mention”, he said.
The forum urged the LGA boss to continue his good works in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people and equally appointed him ‘Grand Patron’ of the association.
