Uwheru People Rejoice as Egube Becomes Sanwo-Olu’s Deputy Chief of Staff

There was jubilation recently among the people of Uwheru kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State as their son, Mr. Samuel Avwerosuo Egube, was appointed the new Deputy Chief of Staff to the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Mr. Samuel Avwerosuo Egube who was a former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning of Lagos State, was given the new appointment by the state governor after the seat became vacant following the demise of the former Deputy Chief of Staff, Gboyega Soyannwo.

In a media chat with our correspondent at his Uwheru residence, the President-General of Uwheru kingdom, Chief Macpherson Igbedi said, “We, the people of Uwheru kingdom are rejoicing today over this new political achievement made by our son and brother, Mr. Samuel Avwerosuo Egube in Lagos State.

“The Egube is a household name, here in Delta State and also in Lagos State. The family has indeed made the Uwheru people proud in Lagos State. They have created a niche for Uwheru people in the political space of Lagos State. Today, Uwheru is a recognized community in Lagos State as a result of the vast contributions of these our people especially this our brother, Mr. Samuel Avwerosuo Egube in the growth and development of the state.

“As you can see here, our elders and leaders are very happy about this breaking news and our daily prayers are solidly behind him and his family at all times to climb higher and higher in the political ladder.”

The Uwheru PG further said, “I wholeheartedly commend the Lagos State government for this singular and memorable act of patriotism and promotion of unity and love as citizens of one Nigeria. I want to plead with other states in the country to emulate this exemplary act of Lagos State by giving these kind of political appointments to non-indigenes in their various states. It’s a way of creating unity and love in the country.

“Once again, I congratulate our brother, Mr. Samuel Avwerosuo Egube for his new appointment as the Deputy Chief of Staff of Lagos State.”

Mr. Samuel Avwerosuo Egube, an Urhobo, hails from Uwheru kingdom in Ughelli North LGA of Delta State. He was earlier appointed as Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget on August 20, 2019 by Lagos State government.
