In an address at the event, president-general of the NGO, Hon. Prince Mayor O. Mayor, described Engr. Chief Dr. Samuel Adjogbe as a man with a large heart who has the feelings and pains of the entire Urhobo people. He cited various philanthropic gestures made by Chief Adjogbe to help the less privileged ones across the Urhobo nation and in other places in Nigeria.

Hear him: “We the members of UPA are here to honour our father and leader, Engr. Chief Dr. Samuel Adjogbe for the great support he has been giving to us as a group, even though we haven’t met like this. He happily keyed into our vision and dreams of establishing this organization long time ago.

“This is why we decided to honour him today for his generosity, kindness, love and integrity. We hereby present to him this Certificate of Grand Universal Ambassador of this our great organization and also present to him this photo plaque. This is just to appreciate him for the good works he’s doing in the society and to also encourage him to do more for the Urhobo people in particular and to all Nigerians in general.”

Receiving the award and plaque from the group, Engr. Chief Adjogbe who was highly elated said, “On behalf of my beloved family, I’m indeed happy for this great honour bestowed upon me today by the Urhobo Progressive Ambassadors, even for the little I’m doing to help my Urhobo people to excel in life.

“We can only be leaders when we are ready to serve our people with such leadership positions. We must question our integrity and dignity as leaders of Urhobo and the country.

“You have made me Grand Universal Ambassador of this our organization. It’s a position I happily accepted, but I want to be an active ambassador for that. I have seen the aims and objectives of the association. I will definitely try my best to contribute my quota to achieve all the aims and objectives of the association.

“We should know that, one tree can’t make a forest. It will suffer windstorm and thunderstorms. But when they are many, they have the power to resist both the wind and the rain. This is why, it’s important we concentrate more on human capital development of our people especially the youths. We must be economically viable to enable us pursue our goals to achievable end.”
