Unenurhie’s ‘Day of Prayers,’ long awaited by indigenes and residents of the community, in Evwreni kingdom, in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, has been fixed for March 25 and 26, 2022.
The planning committee, in a statement signed by its chairman, Rev. Dr. Gentle Omohwo Imudje, and secretary, Mr. James Okparikpu, informed “all Unenurhie sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora and all lovers and friends of Unenurhie community,” of the “two-day power-packed prayers tagged, ‘Let Peace and Progress Reign,’ scheduled to hold at the community town hall by 7am daily.”
The statement however called on sons and daughters of the community and community leaders to give their full support to the prayer programme, on individual basis or in groups, as the programme is billed to feature so many spiritual activities, including the breaking of curses in the land.
It also stated that the prayer programme would be co-ordinated by the planning committee in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the community and other Christian groups.
The ‘Unenurhie Day of Prayers,’ according to the statement has been institutionalized and established as an annual event in the community by the UCDU leadership under Mr. Peter Maison, as one of the socio-cultural and Christian events in Unenurhie community
