Unenurhie PG Invites Indigenes, Residents to ‘2024 Day of Prayers’

The annual Unenurhie Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving is finally scheduled to hold as usual on 25 and 26 March, 2024 at the Unenurhie community Event Centre with much expectations from indigenes and other residents.

This was highighted in an invitation from the community’s president-general, Mr. Peter Maison, JP to all sons and daughters of Unenurhie community, both at home and in the diaspora, to attend in their great numbers this year’s Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving, especially “with the mindset to pray for the unstoppable growth and development of the community.”

The invitation according to a statement issued by the PG through the event planning committee also extends to all residents and business owners in the community, including leaders and members of neighbouring communities.

The statement read in parts, “We hereby invite all sons and daughters of Unenurhie community, both at home and in the diaspora to attend this year Unenurhie Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving in their great numbers. In the same way, we are also inviting all residents and business owners in our community to join us as we pray and thank God this year.

“We are also extending our invitation to leaders and members of our neighbouring communities to join us in this our annual event. We want to use this medium to correct a very wrong impression from our people by informing them that Unenurhie Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving is established by the community leadership for everybody in the community. It’s neither a Christian programme nor a pagan programme. It’s designed as annual event for all in the community irrespective of religion or religious beliefs.

“Therefore, we expect all Unenurhie people, within home and abroad to fully participate in this year Unenurhie Day of Prayers and Thanksgiving,” he said
