Trump Defeats Harris To Emerge US President For Second Time

Former. US President, Donald Trump has won American presidential election to become the 47th president of America.

Trump defeated his closet rivalry, Vice President Harris in an election that saw a number of unexpected developments.

Such as a criminal trial involving Trump during the campaign, two assassination attempts against Trump, and a change atop the Democratic ticket after President Biden dropped out of the race.

With this win, Trump becomes the first president in more than 120 years to lose the White House, and then make a come back to win it again, after President Grover Cleveland in 1892.

Trump secured the 270 electoral votes that were needed to win the White House.

Indeed, Trump secured 276 electoral votes while Harris secured 223 electoral votes.

There was a roughly 100-day sprint of a campaign between him and Harris, with polling in seven key battleground states showing very little separation between the two candidates right up until Election Day.

Ultimately, Trump won a convincing victory.

He flipped Georgia back into his column, holding North Carolina and shattering the “blue wall.”
