Traditional Wedding: Adarias Dazzle in Imo


Ezeoke-Nso Community in Ihime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State will never forget in a hurry, the celebrated wedding that had the trappings of pageantry and royalty.

Agwut-Obolo monarch in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRH J.G.J Adaria who found his heartthrob, pretty Uchechi Favour John Adaria, (nee Nwosu) in far away Imo State pulled prominent chiefs and relations to grace the colourful event, described by many as epoch in all ramifications.

After the traditional breaking of kolanuts and other customs performed by the bride’s family (Nwosu), the stage was set for dancing and merriment as men and women from the Nwosu, Adaria, Mbere Edeh, as well as the entire community filed out to identify with the couple who were decked in a beautiful traditional attire befitting of kings and queens.

Earlier, the groom HRH JGJ Adaria who spoke to our reporter, described marriage as an institution of its own and reminded every couple to tolerate each other and show love, saying also that the moral principle of marriage is the ability to exhibit calmness and tolerance in the face of any storm.

His pretty wife maintained that she will forever cherish their relationship, adding that their union is built on God’s foundation.

Thereafter, the head of Nwosu family, Mark Arthur Nwosu prayed for the couple and gave them his blessings to the admiration of guests who cheerfully applauded with joy.

Mark Arthur Nwosu further expressed happiness, saying the marriage will unite the two families of Imo/Rivers and prayed the Almighty God to sustain the marriage to a fruitful end.

Many guests who spoke on the sidelines of the event poured encomiums on the couple, pointing that its uniqueness is something to remember for a very long time.

The band performed creditably, as guests were entertained to the tune of beautiful music, while drinks and food were served.
