Engr Ngerebara comes across every right thinking person as a humble man who does not elect to “sneer” at the existential drudgery that has morphed into the perpetual lot of the man on the street. At 60, you are still very energetic and carrying on with such outstanding works and remarkable candour. You example continues to motivate the youths, encourage the old and provide leadership for a new generation of leaders.
Words are inadequate to pour deserving encomiums that would correspond with the flow of selfless love and warmth that Rivers people have been enjoying from you, spanning over three decades of your political career.
A fantastic Rivers State commissioner for Works in the early 90s when Chief Rufus Ada George held sway as the Executive Governor of Rivers State. The vibrant Ngerebara performed above expectations in less than two years in office.
It is on record that most roads and layouts in Port Harcourt City, Obio/Akpor and other parts of the state were designed and constructed during his tenure as commissioner. Notable among them is the famous Ada George Road amongst others.
A governor, Rivers people yearned for in 1999, but the intra party shortsightedness of the then All Peoples Party (APP) cost this eligible gentleman the ticket to the coveted seat at the Brick House. Be it as it may, many of his followers still address him as ‘ His Excellency’ because he deserves even more than that.
