Saipem Emerges ‘Most Local Content Compliant Int’l Coy’

Leading EPCI Contractor, Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL), has been recognized as the ‘Most Compliant Local Content International Service Company’ in Nigeria.

The award, which follows over 50 years of Saipem’s extensive contribution to the local content development in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector, came on the sidelines of the Nigerian International Petroleum summit currently ongoing in Abuja.

According to organizers of the pioneer oil and gas industry awards, held yearly to recognize and award outstanding stakeholders in the industry, the process leading to the choice of winners was executed by leading global audit firm KPMG, with the support of experts across the award categories, with the sole purpose of ensuring “transparency and focus on competence.”

The Nigeria International Petroleum Summit, organized under the auspices of the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, has been acknowledged as a prestigious event for Nigeria’s key political decision-makers, Directors, relevant governmental bodies, stakeholders and officials, and specialists from the Ministry, NNPC , Operators , service companies and other captains of industry.

This year’s event featured the presentation of speeches by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu and Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Dr. Maikanti Baru, among others.
