The chairman of Sagbama Local Government Council, Hon. Mrs. Alice Allen Tangi has approved the appointment of Comrade ThankGod Ebilamowei Oluku as the press secretary.
Comrade ThankGod Ebilamowei Oluku, whose appointment took effect from May 2, 2024 is the Publisher/Editor In-Chief of the Independent Observer, a monthly magazine which is committed to “proper coverage of newsworthy activities in the Nigerian and the globe.”
Before his appointment, he had served the Sagbama Local Government Legislative Arm as Chief Press Secretary under the leadership of Hon. Preye Stanley Ekiegha.
He has also served as SA Media to former Vice Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Council, Hon. Gabriel Puamowei Ndoni.
Comrade ThankGod has also served briefly as chief press secretary to former Ekeremor Local Council Chairman, Hon. Pastor John Ebikake.
Other positions held are: Former senior reporter of Banner News who was later promoted to Production Editor. Former chief press secretary to former chairman of Patani Local Government Council, Hon. Perez Perekebena Omoun Esq. SA Media to former Commissioner of Finance Bayelsa State, Late High Chief Brass Ogullah, and Former secretary, Bayelsa Newspaper Publishers’ Union.
