The General Overseer of a new-generation church in Eagle Island and Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, simply identified as Elijah, is currently under investigation by the Octopus (C4i) Strike Force unit of the Nigeria Police Force over allegations of homosexuality.
Sources revealed that the pastor was apprehended after a video allegedly showing him engaging in homosexual acts was leaked to the police by an individual to whom he had reportedly made sexual advances.
According to insider information, the man, in an attempt to gather evidence, played along and secretly recorded a nude video of the pastor engaging in intimate acts and soliciting sex.
Acting on credible intelligence, the Octopus Strike Force unit traced the suspect to a relaxation spot in Port Harcourt, where he was arrested and taken into custody for further investigation.
Reliable sources told our correspondent that the suspect had allegedly confessed to multiple instances of homosexuality involving both adult males and minors within and outside Port Harcourt.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, stated that investigations are ongoing.
