Rivers Police Commiserates with military over Lagbaja’s demise

The Commissioner of Police Rivers State Police Command, CP Mustapha Bala, has commiserated with the Nigerian military over the demise of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Toareed Lagbaja.

CP Bala who spoke when he paid a condolence visit to the General Officer Commanding, GOC, 6 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdusalam in his office in Port Harcourt yesterday, said the late Chief of Army Staff, will be greatly missed.

The Rivers Police Boss was accompanied on the visit by his Management Team and they were received by the GOC, and other high-ranking military officers.

CP Bala praised the late Army Chief, describing him as a disciplined, honest, and fine gentleman who will be deeply missed.

He expressed heartfelt sympathy to the GOC and the entire Nigerian Army, acknowledging the sudden and untimely nature of Lt. General Lagbaja’s passing.

The CP also offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Army helmsman and strength for those grieving.

The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement said the visit demonstrates the Commissioner of Police’s commitment to building strong relationships with other security agencies in the State.

Highlight of the visit was the signing of the condolence register by the Commissioner of Police.
