The Rivers Ijaw Indigenous Forum (RIIF) has commended the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Belema Oil Producing Company, Engr. Tein Jack-Rich Jnr. for his “rich wisdom in actualizing the peace process that gave way to the reopening of OML 25 Kula Flow Station,” adding that he has made “unimaginable impact on the bid for progress in the Niger Delta region and Nigeria as a whole.”
In a release made available to our reporter, chairman of the group, Tokubiye Tamunokuro, commended the CEO and management of Belema Oil for creating an enabling atmosphere for peace to reign in Kula kingdom and its environs.
He said “RIIF applauds the understanding and commitment of the Federal Government, NNPC and SPDC to playing a vital role in the peace process, urging them to sustain the tempo.”
Tamunokuro called on the people of Kula and other Niger Delta communities to take advantage of the reopening to forge a common front in placing the region on the global map, noting that peace is the panacea to resolving all issues.
He further urged the communities to extend support to “the vibrant indigenous firm that has uplifted the people of the region and beyond.”
