Fubara Appoints Acting Rector for Elechi Amadi Polytechnic

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has approved the appointment of Dr. Moses Neebee, as the acting Rector of Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic (CEAPOLY), Rumuola, Port Harcourt.

The appointment of Dr. Neebee was contained in a press statement issued in Port Harcourt on Thursday and signed by the commissioner for Education in the state, Prof. Chinedu Mmom.

Until his appointment as the Acting Rector, Dr. Moses Neebee who is succeeding Dr. Samuel Kalagbor, was the deputy rector (Academic) of the Polytechnic.

The statement noted that the appointment of Neebee is sequel to the expiration of the tenure of the pioneer rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Samuel Bererememamn Kalagbor.

The governor thanked the out-going Rector for his meritorious service to the state and wished him well in his future endeavours. 

In the meantime, a senior lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Prince Okechukwu Amadi has described the appointment of Dr. Moses Neebee as a welcome development and the beginning of a new academic era in the Polytechnic. 

Amadi, in a chat with the Port Harcourt Mundial also described the new Rector as an erudite scholar, a reformer, pragmatic, prudent and visionary leader, an astute administrator and achiever per excellence.

He expressed optimism that Dr. Neebee will do well as the new rector of CEAPOLY, having contributed immensely to the accreditation of most courses in the polytechnic by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) while serving as the deputy rector (Academic).
