The councilor-elect for Igbo 1 Ward 3, in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon Anderson Martins Onyekachi, has urged members of his constituency to join hands in bringing issues of development to the fore in the area.
He made the call shortly after casting his vote at the Unit 6 polling center in last Saturday’s local council polls in the state.
Anderson, who ran on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said Igbo 1 Ward 3 is probably the largest ward in the state, and thus “has no reason to lag behind other wards in attracting state and local government attention to its development needs.
“We will do everything within our power to ensure issues like road and others are taken care of. I ask my people, who have shown me their support, to join hands with me in making sure development and projects come to our area.”
Anderson, who ran his campaign on the issues of ‘Accountability,’ ‘Transparency’ and ‘Equity,’ said his constituents are the cornerstone of his sojourn to the Etche Legislative Assembly, promising to give them adequate representation at the assembly.
He noted that “the youths are the leaders of tomorrow,” while calling on them to join hands with him in ensuring that issues of welfare and development affecting them are better addressed.
