Penultimate week, a coastal community in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Ajakajak, appointed a six-man committee, “with proven integrity,” to govern it for the next three years.
HRH (Hon) Alaibi Christian Ebelo Iriegwung (2) who spoke before the appointment said that, leaders who served their people well have the right for further recommendation.
Those appointed are: Mr Genesis Sanderson (chairman), Mr Manfred Africa (vice chairman), Mr Jim David Jim (secretary), Mr Amamekiwere Willy (PRO), Eunice Zephaniah (treasurer) and Mr Ernest Friday (CSO).
It will be recalled that HRH (Hon) Alaibi Christain Ebelo Iriegwung (2), and the community leaders were at Our Saviour’s (Ang) Church, Ajakajak on Sunday, March 31, 2024 for a thanksgiving.
Our correspondent said they were admonished by the priest in charge of the parish to be of good behaviour, shun evil, and should endeavour to bring developments to the community.
